Co-payments of counseling sessions are requested at time of service. Most insurances that cover the Hampton Roads region such as Tricare, Optima,
Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Value Options, and Magellan Health, etc. are accepted. Payment plans are also available for extenuating circumstances.
Welcome to Phoenix Mental Health Services, LLC. We are a unique mental health service because we come to you! We eliminate the long wait and travel to a sometimes boring waiting room, which also helps with the expense of childcare, elder care and the contemporary stressors' of daily living. In 2012, there were an estimated 43.7 million adults age 18 or older in the U.S. with some form of mental illness in the past year. This represents 18.6 percent of all U.S. adults. Our goal is to eliminate this stigma. Every person experiences difficulties in life whether they are related to mental health or external issues such as divorce, career problems, grief or loss or interpersonal conflicts. The primary goal of Phoenix Mental Health Services, LLC is to provide effective support and treatment plans for child, adolescents, adults and couples with the tools to reach a rich and rewarding life and to feel more confident as an individual and to reach your full potential. Dr. Rosemary A Thompson is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor and a Nationally Certified School Counselor. She has extensive experience in working with children, adolescences and adults. Dr. Thompson worked in the public school system and taught counselor education
courses on the university level as well as maintained a private practice for the past two decades. She has also published 12 peer-reviewed textbooks on counseling and psychotherapy. Essentially. "she walks the walk, and talks the talk" from many rich life and professional experiences.
